I have found that peer review is able to improve my essay a lot more than I had thought it would. By having someone that is writing the exact same essay with the same class experience as me, they are able to offer much more valuable feedback because they are in the same position as me. I have grown as a peer editor through the 3 project and I have improved my skills. At first, I was more focused on the local errors through the essay but now I have realized that the global errors are actually more important and that it was I began focusing on. The most improvement I saw in my peer editing skills was being able to go over the comments that I made when I meet with the person whose paper I edited. The peer review process has helped me improve both my essays and my peer review skills.
